2. Prepare bookings
In the booking timeline, you can structure your day comfortably and turn sections into bookings with just a few clicks - traceable, flexible, and without end-of-day guessing.
3. Submit bookings
You can post bookings directly to JIRA while creating them. Alternatively, export them as JSON, XML, or CSV and continue processing them in your existing systems.

Currently, Zeitspeicher.app runs on macOS with Apple Silicon processors. The architecture is designed so additional platforms can be added later.
How does Zeitspeicher.app detect absence?
Zeitspeicher.app automatically detects longer inactivity periods and marks them accordingly. Standby and sleep phases are also considered so your timeline reflects your real day as accurately as possible.
Can I pause tracking at any time?
Yes. Zeitspeicher.app can be paused and resumed at any time. You decide when activities are captured.
Do I have to accept times automatically?
No. Zeitspeicher.app does not create automatic bookings. You decide which sections to convert and can edit them beforehand.
Can I still book past days afterwards?
Yes. You can navigate to previous days at any time and add or adjust bookings as long as data is available.
Does Zeitspeicher.app work offline?
Yes. Tracking and booking work fully without internet. A connection is only required for integrations such as JIRA.
Which export formats are available?
You can export bookings per timeline as JSON, XML or CSV to transfer or process them in other systems.

About Zeitspeicher.app
Zeitspeicher.app started from a problem many people know: as developers working across multiple projects, it became harder and harder to document time correctly in everyday work. At the end of the day, we guessed - and that often led to inaccuracies.
When searching for solutions, we found that many tools were either expensive, complex to set up, or too heavy in daily workflow. It became clear to us that good time tracking needs three things above all: instant usability, simple operation, and seamless integration into everyday work.
That is how Zeitspeicher.app was created. We built early prototypes on macOS, including a tracker and our own timeline view, because we could not find a suitable product on the market. Very early, it became clear that the approach worked - and step by step it evolved into today's application.
